Join us in Vancouver on Tuesday, March 13th for an information session and learning symposium.  This is a great opportunity to connect with current and future alumni for an engaging evening modelled on the Royal Roads learning experience.
We would like to invite you as one of our esteemed alumni and current student to share your Royal Roads experience with prospective students. If you are interested in presenting in front of an audience or speaking to prospective students one-on-one, please contact Linda Markowsky for further details.
Following this general information session, we are pleased to bring you a learning opportunity from Dr. Robert Mittelman, Associate Professor & Director, School of Business discussing;
Do Good & Do Well: An Exploration of Corporate Social Innovation
“The public expectations of your company have never been greater. Society is demanding that companies, both public and private, serve a social purpose. To prosper over time, every company must not only deliver financial performance but also show how it makes a positive contribution to society. Companies must benefit all of their stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, customers, and the communities in which they operate.”
Laurence Fink, CEO BlackRock, January 16, 2018
That’s the most powerful institutional investor in the world, with more than $6 trillion in assets, telling CEOs that corporations need to commit to social change as a strategic priority and that this will mean a new way of doing business. By integrating social impacts into business strategy, socially innovative corporations play a vital role in building a sustainable future for society and the planet. Businesses need professionals who can create shared value for both their organization and humanity by blending effective business models with solutions to pressing issues.
This talk will explore how corporations - and corporate leaders - can do good while doing well.
