NEW: RRU Learning Symposium Opportunity

Following the General Information Session, join Royal Roads University’s faculty and graduates for a dynamic symposium “Technology and Tourism”. This session will explore the effects technology has on shifting power in the distribution channel from suppliers and intermediaries to individual consumers, and its implications to the organization of business.

Presented by Royal Roads University School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Adjunct Professor, Rod Harris.

Prior to starting with Royal Roads University, Rod was President and CEO of Tourism British Columbia since its establishment as a Crown corporation in 1997. As CEO of Tourism BC, he led the global marketing of Super, Natural British Columbia, during which time he served as a past member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Tourism Commission, the Vancouver 2010 Bid Corporation and the Pacific Asia Travel Association. Prior to his appointment at Tourism BC, he served as an executive with major Canadian marketing and advertising companies such as Maclaren Advertising and John Labatt Limited. He has also been a senior manager responsible for marketing leading brands such as Colgate-Palmolive, Sara-Lee and Lever Brothers. He holds a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing, Bachelor of Commerce, and professional certification from the Institute of Canadian Advertising.
